Your priority hierachy looks pretty efficient to me. I should adopt something like that.
Usually I look through my friends page and open everything interesting or important in tabs. Then I work through all the personal entries. And then I try to read all the fics. And when I finally have two firefox windows with 15 tabs each open for more than five days I go to bookmark them into the To Read Folder of Doom, where those fics reside until I seriously have to procrastinate about something... *groans*

No. I think your commenting-strategy is really very reasonable. Mine is similar.
