I believe this was femmequixotic idea. The other day, she had offered to write fics for anyone who donates 50AUD to any legitimate non-profit currently collecting funds to be used for Australian bushfire relief. (Like, Australia Red Cross, for example.) Now, some lovely people on my flist made similar offers and, unfortunately, what little money I could donate (very little) I already have, so I can't "buy" anything, and I absolutely hate I can't do more.

I do have time, though. But not that much time and, obviously, I have one crazy to-do list. And I have no idea whether anyone would be interested, but I want to at least TRY. So my offer (vaguely stolen from marguerite_26):

I will write a story of approximately 10 000 words (your choice of pairing, genre, plot, rating) to the highest bidder in the next 24 hours. Bids will be accepted until 1pm EST, Saturday, February 14. The story will be finished and posted by the end of April. (Sorry, I'm just being a realist. I might write it sooner, but I don't want to promise stuff again and then be wretchedly late.)

Bidding starts at $10USD (Because that's half of what I donated. See, told you it was embarrassingly little).

If no one outbids this, then the first person who says "I'll give $10USD to the Australian Red Cross (for example)," and then does so, gets the fic.
