faithwood | Seduced but Not Yet Ready

Ahem. So there'll be no fic today. Sorry about that. But see, I'm getting twitchy. This is my first WiP and it has a lot of UST, and I don't want to rush the last few chapters. I think you'd rather wait a little longer than get something that's bad because I rushed.

I mean, each chapter will be a day late, I don't mean this will suddenly turn into weekly updates or something. I just need an extra day ~~or two~~ for each chapter. Plus, the last few will be longer since I don't want to cut sex scenes (GASP! Spoiler!) in stupid places. Emotions are running high, Harry and Draco are two very upset (and in love) idiots so keeping that balance between making them emotional but not turning them weepy and making sure they react as the stubborn and a little crazy men they are is gonna require caution. I'd hate to waste this UST. Explosions take time and need proper care.

So I just want you to know I'm not being purposely mean, I just don't want to fuck this up. And I actually have a beta. Not that that will slow down the process, she tells me she's super-speedy, but the increasing amount of typos is another clue I'm rushing, and that's BAD!

Also, at this point, no matter where I end the chapters it will look like a cliffhanger. Some crazy stuff has yet to come.

Darling, I can be patience for your brilliance. Doesn't mean I won't get twitchy, too, though! But this HAS been a brilliant series and I would rather you take the time to continue to produce your brilliance than rush into it and be unsatisfied with your work. Either way, I ♥ you! Always!

Um ... when I do start saying, "Come on, where's the update," (because I anticipate that I will again in future) I'm not seriously upset; it's only 'cause I love your stuff. *nods* I'm not speaking for anyone else, but I suspect that's the general feeling about your work. ♥

I was waiting until you finished to read your story but then I got impatient. I always really enjoy reading your work, and this was no disappointment. I was so glad to see you doing something longer. You shouldn't sweat making people wait--people should know what they're getting into if they read a WiP. After you finish this one, I hope you consider writing more longer stuff in the future, because it's a lot of fun.
