I undestand what you mean about those selfrighteous all-knowers. It is a commong thing amongst comparative literature students and the epartment staff... the looks they give you when you try to suggest that Potter-books are actually not for children alone anf that fanwriting might also include a lot of quality writing. "*Gasp* No-one who isn't a student of literature can be an apt writer"

So yeah, I bet I would be pissed too had I ever met those "all het is crap" -folks. I fact, I might just deside to pissed about them anyway, for your sake:) And maybe I could try and see Iif could provide also some positive examples of het fics in the thesis... My current example fic is one thats quite clished.. (Snape/Hermione, quite hard to make that pairing un-clished):)
